Justin Drew Bieber was born on March 1st 1994 and grew up in Stratford, Ontario, Canada. 

Bieber was discovered by Scooter Braun, who is now his manager, in 2008 after Braun had come across Bieber's videos on YouTube. Soon after this Bieber was signed to Raymond Braun Media Group (RBMG), a joint company between Braun and Usher, and then was signed to a recording contract with Island Records. 

His debut single, "One Time", was released worldwide during 2009, and charted within the top 30 in over ten countries. This success was followed by his debut release of 'My World' on November 17, 2009, the album went platinum in the United States, at the time giving Bieber the highest debut by a new artist in the year and making him the first artist to have seven songs from a debut album chart on the Billboard Hot 100. Bieber's second album, 'My World 2.0' was released on March 23, 2010 and again was a great success, reaching number one in several different countries.
